They did it! Thanks to everyone who made a pledge to help this exciting new venture

Charles Roe House is planning to open its doors again to reveal an exciting new fine dining restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Macclesfield’s emerging food district … and you could play a valuable part in making it happen!

Husband and wife team, Rick and Amy Armstrong,  have signed up to the Kickstarter crowd-funding scheme to offer a whole array of pledge rewards to help fund their exciting plans for The Copper Room.  Whatever you pledge can be used on meals at the restaurant, stays at their related Airbnb, cooking lessons, tickets to special events … and much more!

The Kickstarter scheme allows 30 days only for the financial target to be met, and it works on an “all or nothing” basis, and the clock is ticking now.  Find out more HERE about how you can have a stake in helping this exciting new venture in the heart of Macclesfield succeed, and help the town’s burgeoning reputation as an upcoming “foodie” destination grow.

Great start to 2021 for Thorneycroft Solicitors

Great start to 2021 for Thorneycroft Solicitors

Although the current pandemic has placed pressures on the business community throughout North Cheshire, it has been a successful and exciting beginning to 2021 for Macclesfield based law firm, Thorneycroft Solicitors.

Having had a presence in Macclesfield for over 3 decades, they have shown their commitment to the town and the wider community for many years, helping them with any legal needs, and they are delighted to announce that they have opened a second office in the heart of Macclesfield, further cementing their relationship with the town and its people.

The new office is located on King Edward Street in the centre of Macclesfield and will be the main base of operations for the firm’s Conveyancing, Private Client and Employment Law teams. However, clients will still be able to arrange appointments and have their legal needs met at both the main office and the new office.

Managing Director of Thorneycroft Solicitors, Rachel Stow said:  “Having been searching for a suitable location to establish a high street presence in Macclesfield for many years, we are delighted to be able to open a new location on King Edward Street.”

“Our main office will continue to be on Bridge Street, however, this new office will provide improved convenience for our clients, thanks to its town centre location and nearby facilities including parking.” The new offices will also feature improved accessibility that will benefit our clients who are less mobile or require the use of a wheelchair.”

“It is an exciting time for our business and we look forward to assisting our clients with their legal needs for many years to come.” Rachel added.

Thorneycroft Solicitors are also excited to announce the addition of Tina Timmins and Sarah Johnson to the Private Client team.

Sarah has joined the Family Law team in the role of Matrimonial Solicitor. With over 25 years experience, Sarah brings a wealth of experience to the role and the ability to handle a wide range of family law legal matters.

Tina has joined the firm as a Private Client Assistant, having worked for a number of reputable firms during her career including Blunts Solicitors, another Macclesfield based firm that has now closed. She is able to assist with all aspects of Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney including Court of Protection work, and Will writing and has developed a specialism for working closely with elderly clients.

Both Sarah and Tina have already settled into their new roles and have hit the ground running.

It is an exciting time for the firm as they continue to grow and cement their status as one of the North West’s leading law firms.
